When you rent a van for individual use, you get free bedding, outdoor accessories (camping table and chairs), as well as all cooking equipment (cutlery, utensils, stove and a gas bottle) free of charge. Basic multi-risk insurance is also included, and free of charge.

At The Family Van, each surfcamp is a unique adventure, composed of a fleet of 3 to 7 vans, with 1 to 3 people per vehicle, thus forming a close-knit group. You will be accompanied by Noémie and Kévin, the co-founders of The Family Van, throughout your journey.

What makes our surfcamps exceptional is their itinerant nature: every day, you will explore the region in your campervan, from Biscarrosse to Saint Jean de Luz, and surf on world-famous spots thanks to daily lessons.

The days are divided into two parts: a half-day dedicated to surfing lessons, and the other to discovering the region and activities such as village visits, tastings of local products, aperitifs on the beach/guinguettes, shopping sessions, more free surfing sessions in addition to lessons.

Our desire is to offer a differentiating and complete experience unlike traditional surfcamps during which you stay in the same place during the week. Roaming and traveling in a van also create a special atmosphere and proximity for an unforgettable stay.

Our surfcamps are open to everyone, whether you are a beginner or at a more advanced level! Our teachers adapt to your level to offer you personalized courses and help you progress at your own pace.

After discussing your travel project (budget, interests, essentials...), our team creates a tailor-made roadbook. It includes a detailed itinerary and daily recommendations for activities, exclusive addresses, and accommodation suggestions. You can then give us your feedback so that we can adjust the roadbook to suit you.

Our vans have a range of 330km and are equipped with fast charging (40 minutes).

On a fast charging station, charging a vehicle with 10 to 85% autonomy takes 35 to 40 minutes on average: the time to have a coffee and clean the van before leaving!

You also have the option of recharging the van at slow charging stations (between 2 and 7 hours for the slowest ones) or at the campsite, overnight.

It's up to you to choose the most suitable option according to your itinerary.
