We went as a couple for a week exploring the French and Spanish Basque coast, as well as the Pyrenees. We came back full of stars in our eyes:

An unforgettable experience

An unforgettable experience, a real road trip among the sublime landscapes of South West France in an electric van and the best introduction to surfing possible (I had never surfed before the stay and was able to progress very quickly thanks to the free surfing lessons and sessions).

The vans were very comfortable and pleasant, just like each of the campsites. We left as a couple and felt really at home.

All the surf spots, surf lessons, restaurants, bars and activities (especially great skateboarding lessons), picnic spots on the shores of lakes and forests had been selected with great care by Kevin and Noémie, who accompanied us with their incredible energy and enthusiasm to help us discover the best places with them at each stage of the trip:)

Go there with your eyes closed, we already dream of going back.

It was a first for me in electric vans. It is perfectly adapted to the proposed travel format, all itineraries are calculated in advance for our comfort. We don't have to worry about autonomy or other fears that we can think of in relation to electricity. Also, the vehicles are super well equipped and very comfortable.

First experience in a Van

We took a short tour of Landes and the Basque Country in an electric van from The Family Van this summer. The team that looked after us is great, helpful, welcoming, available throughout our stay if we had any questions or need help, you can trust them with your eyes closed.
The vans are new, well maintained, functional, everything is there for a good stay.
For our first time in a van, we highly recommend The Family Van;)

We had a great trip with The Family Van, I highly recommend them!! We rented an electric van for two people for a week. Everything went very well, the van is spacious and comfortable! We had no problems whatsoever with the vehicle's equipment and the recharging of the vehicle. Hoping to be able to go back with them this summer!!

We tested the ThevanFamily electric van during a 4-day road trip in Landes. We really enjoyed this ecological and economic experience. Indeed, there was no need to fill up with gas (that's the principle) and to recharge, we stopped for the night at campsites or used fast charging stations during our lunch breaks or visits. And what about the layout of the van? Ideal for 1 or 2 people, it offers bed, fridge and kitchen space. A small studio on wheels, super practical. Personally, we fully subscribe to this new concept.

It was an incredible experience! The vans are well thought out in terms of storage, the bedding is of good quality with a comforter that keeps you warm! We had meals included in the van and it was nice not to have to go shopping all the time because we forgot something there with the roadbook: several recipes were dedicated to us with all the ingredients in the van! Then, speaking of the Electric Van, I enjoyed driving it. But it's smooth to drive and you get used to it very quickly and the size of the van is not too tall or too big!
In terms of electricity, it charges quickly depending on the terminals of course but one night at the campsite was enough for us! Then there is an app to allow you to find an electrical terminal in the area, which allows you to help when you want to travel a bit and plan along the way!
Then the Van family, to a concierge if we had a problem during the day, which made it possible to reach them at any time easily and quickly.
The concept of a surf trip in an electric van is an incredible idea, it felt like being in a summer camp for adults! Then the surfing lessons with Antoine were very pleasant, he listens and explains to us to help us evolve, he adapts to all levels. Having him with us allowed us to have an opinion on a city to visit, hikes or activities to do! In the end, we were so sad to leave each other, it's a pretty crazy experience in one week!

A great week's stay with The Family Van, we loved it and plan to repeat the experience again! The van is very well appointed, comfortable, we found everything we needed, and nice touches as well. The team is very friendly and available. Travelling in a 100% electric van allowed us to make a nice short trip in the Spanish Basque Country without any problem to recharge. I recommend!!

As soon as you book, all the explanations are very clear, it's a great idea to view the videos before departure as well as the recommendations on applications to download in order to facilitate the stay. The team is very responsive if you need to (which was the case to help us recharge the vehicle), which is very reassuring when you are not used to it. They are also very good advice on places where you can sleep.It's another way to think about your stay and you get used to it very quickly.We only want to do it again!

We had a magical stay in the Moors and the Basque countries thanks to The Family Van. We were able to enjoy the magnificent landscapes and, thanks to their advice, a great surfing lesson. An unforgettable road trip!

Van trip was a big first for me! Despite the unpredictable weather we were able to fully enjoy the surfing sessions and no need for sun when you are accompanied by Noémie and Kévin who are real sunbeams.

On the program: surfing, hikes, magnificent landscapes, restaurants, good humor and lots of laughter!

A journey from Dax to Sopela, then Bilbao, Somo, San Vicente, then Bilbao, Somo, San Vicente and terminus in the French Basque Country by a spot that will make you never want to leave 🤩 Leave with your eyes closed you will not regret it!

This electric van was exactly what we needed, beware of the limited autonomy but congratulations for the comfort and the equipment.

We decided to make the electric van our first experience in a van, because we had a very good contact with Kevin from Van Family at a trade show, a new but very dynamic company.
Overall, you were very satisfied with their services (creation of a super book for the trip; assistance throughout the stay...). The only negative downside is related to the network of electrical terminals, access to which is different depending on the distributor, especially difficult in Spain... which puts stress on the trip.

Very well equipped van where everything is there and has been well thought out, very pleasant to drive thanks to its small footprint, you can park everywhere. It is easy to recharge it either at the fast terminals or simply at night on a simple plug in the campsites while you sleep! Noémie and the team are very responsive and friendly, they are there to answer questions at any time. It was our first experience and I was a bit worried but in the end it was very simple! I recommend 😃

9 days of vacation in an electric campervan. It was fun and fun to drive. If you stay in the same region and don't leave for miles, electricity is not a problem! We recently opted for a van rental from Dax to visit the region, and our experience was just great.

Here's why we're giving it five stars:

Ease of recovery: Pickup of the van at the exit of the station was quick and simple, making it easy to start our trip.
Impeccable layout: The van was perfectly equipped, meeting all our needs for a comfortable stay. Even as newbies to this type of trip, we did not miss anything.
Pleasant driving: Driving the van was smooth and pleasant, which greatly contributed to our enjoyment of discovering the area.
Useful guide: We also opted for the additional guide, which proved to be a nice resource for discovering spots to see/restaurant/campgrounds in the region without getting too busy.

And as a possible area for improvement, we simply suggest providing new campers with additional information on campsite closing times, in order to facilitate their travel experience.

I had heard about this company on the networks and I admit that I liked the idea of traveling by electric vehicle from an ecological point of view.
As soon as we booked our questions about the car seat (which was purchased for the occasion, thank you again!) and other details were answered very quickly.
The van was very pleasant to drive and everything needed was available. Camping chairs and a tent + duvet were even provided. Everything is ultra-functional and aesthetic what's more. The 2 seater mattress is very comfortable and suited all 3 of us!
It is very easy to do with electricity. We had a little scare in the Spanish Basque mountains with the battery running out quickly but if we honestly know it we didn't feel slowed down at all by the electricity. It's great to drive and to tell yourself that you can enjoy nature by polluting it a little less.

So we highly recommend the experience and especially with TheFamilyVan. Thanks again to the whole team for the organization and the quality property that you provide.

The Family Van offers a very well thought-out route, from the Arcachon Bay to the Basque Country, for perfect sports and tourist holidays!
Kevin and Noëmie accompanied us for this week of surfing, skateboarding, walking, hiking... Thanks to them, the group was able to spend good human moments around aperitifs and barbecues in magnificent places.
As for the van, it is very well equipped and has everything you need for a nomad/camping life. In addition to being very easy to drive thanks to the electric one!

The van is very comfortable, the team super responsive if necessary, it was a great first vanlife experience 😎 We were three, so we chose the mattress option on the front seats for the 3rd bed and it was very good. When it comes to driving, it's child's play and to recharge the van too! In short, there is no reason not to be tempted:)

A friendly, responsive and attentive team. There was everything you needed to travel for a few days. We had brought a small extra blanket in view of the temperatures (February). We did not plan a specific itinerary and gradually came up with recommended places or found on the internet. To be done again!

The guides were at our disposal throughout the trip. We were able to discover these beautiful regions, as well as to surf regularly depending on the conditions. Great week: friends, surfing, hiking and tapas!
We started as a group in Dax and then in 2 hours we arrived in San Sebastian. We discovered the Spanish Basque Country and the Cantabria region, which is really worth a visit. And we went back to the French Basque Country the last two days.

First of all, it was with a smile and enthusiasm that we were welcomed in Dax. Fans of vanlife, we still needed to do a tour of how to use an electric vehicle. The van offers classic and easy to use features, everything is thought out, planned, in detail. We want to emphasize the electric experience: this mode of propulsion is much more suitable for a road trip than diesel for a lot of reasons! It's cool, quiet, relaxing! You can stop 100 times a day to take photos without worrying about the “heaviness” of restarting the engine. Thanks to regenerative braking, you no longer touch the brake pedal when approaching a roundabout or when descending a pass, and each time the gain in autonomy is considerable. We finally consumed 18 kW/h per 100 km, which is much less than expected by Peugeot. Fast charging stations are everywhere. In addition, reconnecting to the campground on 8 or 10 amps practically recharged us the next day's kilometers, making the cost of the night profitable. And as Dax can be the starting point for an infinite number of tourist sites in the mountains or on the coast, we wholeheartedly recommend this experience with Family Van! This small business benefits from making itself known and we wish them well!

I went on a weekend with The Family Van for a trip along the Landes coast, to the Basque country! On this trip, I packed my mom, our flip flops and our towels. We spent a weekend of 3 days in Gironde with a Van The Family Van.The Van is small enough to pass through parking lots that block out at 1.90m, but very well laid out and comfortable.The electric side of the vehicle brings a lot of charge and is very consistent with the slow travel that we like to do in a Van with my girlfriend.I recommend

First experience in a van in the Landes and the Basque Country incredible, with an organization of The Family Van team at the top. The team provides us with a roadbook that allows us to organize our stay, give us ideas on activities and places to visit along our entire itinerary. There are also recipes that are adapted to the van. The van is super comfortable and contains everything you need to cook, eat outside, surf (chairs, table, drying rack, boards, wetsuits, poncho,...). Also driving and charging electric cars are super easy. The itinerary was adapted for each charge.
Our days were punctuated by a surf lesson in the morning adapted to our level. Then walks, visits to the various spots or get back in the van to continue our itinerary while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. A big thank you to the team, we can't wait to come back for the next group trip!!

A great relaxing stay thanks to the silence of the electric! The use of the electric vehicle is very easy, including charging at the terminals that can be found easily everywhere thanks to applications or the phone's GPS. It was a great experience, a human, sporting and super rewarding adventure. The idea of mixing road-trip in a campervan, with an electric vehicle, all in a group makes the trip very interesting in all aspects. In terms of surfing lessons, Antoine is simply at the top! Both cool and educational, he plays an important role in this trip by not only limiting himself to his activity as an instructor, he is a guide present from the beginning to the end of the stay. It was a real summer camp between adults, I could not have asked for better!!
